And I’m okay I have a very good student with with me that I’m sure that of you are familiar with his face, his name and even some of you are familiar with his life. And he’s no one but Sybill.
·Hello Sybill, welcome to our today’s radio station.
·Sybill: hello everyone, my name is Sybill and I have studied English at world for 2 years. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and friendly that’s why I chose to study here.
Anna: ok Sybill you what topic we’re gonna talk about today right?
“My English learning journey”
As we all know that learning a new language is not an easy thing, if you want to learn a complete new language and a foreign language you will face a lot challenges and difficulties. It’s not easy at all to learn a new language. And I’m sure that Sybill also has stories about learning English to share with us.
- what does learning a new language mean to you?
Sybill: a new language can enlarge our horizons and let us communicate with different people from different cultures.
Anna: exactly, I agree with the way think. Learning English can open a lot of opportunities for you both inside and outside your country, and it can very useful.
- what is it like to start learning a new language?
Sybill: In life when we face something new or start learning Something new, it seems difficult, but if we insist on it and try more, it will get easier and easier day by day.
When I started learning English in primary school, it was strange and very difficult. And then I became interested in English. All we can do it, that never stop trying and never stop learning, only then you can succeed.
- what made you so interested in learning English?
Sybill: the first time I started studying English in middle school, I thought it was weird, and then I thought it was too difficult. But after few months when I passed English test, I became more interested in learning.
- do you still remember the first time you started learning English? When was was it?
Sybill: yeah. It was in middle school.
- what was your family and your friends’ attitude towards you when you first started learning English?and what do they say now?
Sybill: at first when I started learning English my family and friends all discouraged me and their ideas were negative about learning this language, they were saying it’s not useful, I should find an other job for myself and leaning English can’t give me money, so I shouldn’t waste my time for it. But I didn’t listen to them and I continued working hard and studying.
